What news we have! Life at Asian World Imports has been a whirlwind. We have moved our shop into neighboring town, Potsdam, 12 miles from the schoolhouse. Potsdam has a wonderful business community, excellent foot traffic and boasts all the wonderful restaurants! After keeping a watchful eye on Potsdam, the right space came open. We are in a beautiful building with high ceilings, latte colored walls and space for our beautiful items. We are at ½ Main St., right across from The Clarkson Inn and right next to Jack and Wezzie’s (The Fields) Coffeehouse. Make sure to stop by for tea, Indian rusk (like biscotti) and sesame candy! We’ll keep our inventory and paper collection at the schoolhouse for now.
Our new hours are 10 – 5 Monday – Wednesday and 10 – 6 Thursday – Saturday. We are closed on Sundays until the holiday season starts. We hired a new staff person, Stacey and she is doing a great job! Other news: you now can pick up recipes for brewing the perfect cup of Himalayan tea, lentil stew or chapatis. We have been trying some of the Indian food at our home and its wonderful – just like an Indian restaurant (which we don’t have anymore in Potsdam). You are missing out if you haven’t checked out our Indian food section yet.
