Welcome to fall!
We currently have a half-price sale on clothing store wide to make room for fall and winter clothing.
We would like to say thankyou to everyone who made First Saturday such a success. We saw many returning faces and met some new friends as well.
New products include organic herbal teas and seasoning mixes from Mind’s Eye HerbFarm. New insence and essential oils from Nag Champa, and more of the very popular hats from Ganesh Himal.

January Blog
The holidays have come and gone and here we are already 5 days into January. Thanks to all who came to the shop during the holidays. While business wasn’t as bad as we had braced ourselves for (due to the economy), it wasn’t outstanding. We will be able to give a small donation to GardenShare, Inc. and The Crary Mills Grange Hall as part of our “Giving Back” program. !

A beautiful day here….it is Thanksgiving Day and while it is not sunny out, we are blessed with fresh snow and a relatively mild temperature. We took a walk to our pond, moved the sheep into their winter pasture and built a snow woman. We then, of course, cooked and feasted on a glorious meal. What a great day to relax and rest, gaining energy for the coming busy month.

What news we have! Life at Asian World Imports has been a whirlwind. We have moved our shop into neighboring town, Potsdam, 12 miles from the schoolhouse. Potsdam has a wonderful business community, excellent foot traffic and boasts all the wonderful restaurants! After keeping a watchful eye on Potsdam, the right space came open. We are in a beautiful building with high ceilings, latte colored walls and space for our beautiful items. We are at ½ Main St., right across from The Clarkson Inn and right next to Jack and Wezzie’s (The Fields) Coffeehouse.

As with most places in the northeast, this summer is rainy and wet! We had a great trip to Maine – coastal Maine is beautiful and we feel fortunate to be able to visit yearly. While there, we thought about how to display the newest addition to our physical shop. We are now carrying Indian groceries! We have been working with a friend from India and a Ph.D. student at Clarkson University to ensure the best products. Potsdam (the home of Clarkson University) is host to a large Indian community.
