Dorjie is also known as Vajra (thunderbolt) and is a symbol which destroys ignorance – it is generally used to symbolize the male principle and is held in the right hand, while the bell represents the female principle and is held in the left hand. Their interaction leads to enlightenment and are used during meditation and religious ceremonies. They are ritual objects used together and are handcrafted in Nepal. Everything done in a buddhist temple is followed by the ring of a bell. In Nepal, a temple without a bell is like a person without a voice. Worshipping God without the ringing of a bell is considered an incomplete prayer. We have bells and dorje with five and nine prongs. Pictured here a five prong style bell and a nine prong style dorje. Use variations to select your size and style.

Large bells are eight inches tall, small bells are six inches. Large Dorjes are 6 inches, small are 4 inches.
